VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: PANASONIC

CES is here, and with it comes a host of new products from both giants and small businesses alike. From innovative new mobile devices to crazy IoT solutions, it’s a dream come true if you’re a tech enthusiast like me who loves to discover the latest and greatest stuff (I mean it – that’s literally in my bio!). This year at CES, our friends at Panasonic have come out with a range of new products in the lifestyle, entertainment, and smart mobility categories. Let’s dive in for a closer look, shall we?

Lumix Streaming Box Camera

Pay attention, streamers – this one’s for you! The Lumix BGH1 is Panasonic’s first box-style camera, a digital camera with one lens and no mirrors. Live streamers will benefit from high-sensitivity recording and dynamic range, but Panasonic says it can also be used for broadcasting and cinema shoots. It looks like you can also control it remotely through WiFi and tether multiple devices together for more complex projects.

Panasonic Hairdryer with Oscillating Quick-Dry Nozzle

Didn’t think 2021 would bring you a new way to step up your hair game? Think again! This innovative new hair dryer will give you more even airflow so your hair dries faster, which is always a good thing (unless you really don’t want to go on that date!) Whether you’re into it or not, the oscillating nozzle can also prevent your head from burning.

Patented nanotechnology (literally called nanoe™) draws moisture from the air to infuse your hair so, as they say, “you can dry your hair without drying it out.”

Panasonic SoundSlayer Gaming Speaker

Halloween has long since passed, but here’s a treat for ya – a CES 2021 Innovation Award winner, and a limited collector’s edition Final Fantasy XIV model, whose name is featured on both the speaker itself and the packaging.

The official model is the SoundSlayer HTB01. I can see why it’s an award winner – it’s powered by Dolby Atmos technology with three modes to adapt to any game style, which will give you the best experience every time. If you’re a fan of FFXIV, grab yours before you miss out and get immersed in your games at home like never before.

Technics Red Bull BC One Limited Edition

Technics Red Bull BC One Limited Edition

Red Bull gives you wings, but this limited edition turntable gives you awesome tracks to back your break(dancing). This one’s designed for B-Boys and B-Girls who aspire to move up through the ranks of the Red Bull BC One competition. Born in 1972, the SL-1200 has placed Technics atop the pack when it comes to audiophile-level sound for serious listeners and DJs alike. Trust me – my friends call me DJ APR, and I know a guy who called himself DJ Slick back in his college radio days – so I kind of, sort of, almost know what I’m talking about!

Like the SoundSlayer FFXIV above, it’s a limited edition, so make sure to B-Buy yours as soon as you have the chance! OMG LOL WTF BBQ.

Technics Integrated Amplifier

This one’s not a limited edition, but it’s the first-ever of its kind – a reference-class integrated amplifier. Technics’ JENO engine is the heart of this thing, and it’s the reason you’ll hear every nuance in the sound you’re listening to, even as it’s reproduced in full digital. What you won’t hear is a lot of extra noise, because this baby features a high-speed silent hybrid power supply. Top off your sound experience with digital noise isolation architecture and load adaptive phase calibration, and you have yourself an amp worth talking about very loudly!

Technics True Wireless Headphones

Saying these are the first truly wireless headphones we’ve come across would be false, but what’s true is that Technics remains a leader in next-generation audiophile-grade performance. Like the JLAB GO Air True Wireless Earbuds we reviewed in March of last year, the left and right buds function independently, which means you don’t need both in for them to work properly because they each form a separate Bluetooth connection. Add their dual hybrid noise-canceling technology and you’ll have a wonderful world-class wireless experience.

Lumix DC-G100KK Camera

Lumix DC-G100KK Camera

Congratulations to the Lumix family for welcoming another new member! The DC-G100KK camera joins the Streaming Box Camera as another option to help creators produce their best content. Walk, talk, dance, and take the camera with you for smooth video thanks to the advanced 5-axis HYBRID image stabilization. If you make crazy videos for TikTok, you’ll love the free-angle monitor that rotates 180 degrees to give you the perfect angle every time.

No mic? No problem. The DC-G100KK is equipped with an internal mic that features OZO audio by Nokia and uses face recognition to adjust to what you’re doing, so you’ll always get clear and crisp sound.

Lumix S5 Camera

Drop it while it’s hot! Please don’t actually drop any of the Lumix cameras, but listen to that sizzle – Lumix is on a roll with yet another new product. The S5 features 4K video, 24.2 megapixel quality for images, and a new mount lens to make your snaps look even better. This new lens is the S-S85 F1.8 L-Mount lens and it pairs beautifully with the device.

More specs include 4K 60p, 10-bit video, FHD 180fps Slow Motion, and 4:3 anamorphic support.

PTZ Camera

PTZ, yeah you know me! If you don’t know me, let me tell you something – I love cool products. I’ve also used lots of different webcams in my time and this one looks like a winner. In the days of Zoom conferences and online lectures (you still can’t sleep through them, Johnny!), content creators will need a reliable camera to make sure their audience doesn’t miss a thing. The PTZ is packed with high-performance features that meet the standards professional users would expect.

Wireless Charger

Wireless Charger

Go Chargers! Actually, I’m a Rams fan – and if you read the first paragraph, you know that I’m also a fan of the latest and greatest technology, which includes wireless chargers like this one. I recently purchased a wireless charger and a receiver case for my old iPhone, but since I can’t predict the future I bought a different one from Amazon. I don’t feel too bad, though, because it turns out this model is meant for vehicles that don’t have built-in wireless charging pads. It works with both NFC (Near Field Communications) and Bluetooth technologies, so you can charge your device while listening to music, podcasts, and turn-by-turn directions without a single interruption.

VR Glasses

Virtual Reality is another technological breakthrough I’ve been cheering on for a long time. Up to this point, though, most devices are either made of cardboard (literally, check out Google Cardboard if you’ve never heard of it) or they’re huge plastic Googles you could probably modify for a ski trip. They’re heavy and make me sweat, so I’m welcoming this new innovation with open arms!

These appear to be much lighter. They look like a pair of sunglasses or swimming goggles, but I bet they’re not tight enough to leave an imprint in my head. They’re kind of like those sunglasses with headphones built-in because they feature Technics original dynamic driver for great sound. A micro OLED panel offers UHD image quality capable of seamless HDR (High Dynamic Rane) visuals.

This is absolutely a product I can’t wait to try, and I’m looking forward to a lightweight, no-sweat immersive experience unlike one I’ve ever had before.

HomeCHEF 4-in-1 Multi-Oven

HomeCHEF 4-in-1 Multi-Oven
HomeCHEF 4-in-1 Multi-Oven

What do you get when you combine an air fryer, convection oven, FlashXpress broiler, and inverter microwave? THIS – the HomeCHEF 4-in-1 multi-oven, a compact countertop appliance you never knew you needed until now. If I’m being completely honest, I’m still not sure whether or not I’d need this thing, but it would be fun to give it a try.

Another fun fact about me: I love food. If this microfryXprection oven thing cooks delicious food, then I’m all in! Panasonic boasts patented inverter technology that cooks food evenly, while intelligent cooking technology called a genius sensor cooks food fast. Sounds pretty genius to me!

I don’t know who “they” are, but they say you shouldn’t shop on an empty stomach – but if you’re hungry and you don’t want scalding-hot chicken and ice-cold rice, you may want to give this whatchamacallit a try!

Featherweight Speaker

Tell your vehicle it’s getting a makeover, thanks to Panasonic’s introduction of another on-the-go product. These are designed for your car door but are the lightest in the industry, so you’ll get best-in-class sound and increased fuel efficiency thanks to a reduction in weight. If you’re on the road, Panasonic wants you to enjoy your trip. Safe travels!

This one is for you advanced creatives out there. KAIROS is a switcher that includes high-performance CPU and GPU processors so your live video productions run smoothly.

PT-RQ-50K Projector

PT-RQ-50K Projector

Go go gadget BEAST MODE! This projector certainly is a beast and is designed to be used in huge venues – sporting events, arena concerts, outdoor installation, museums, and more. It supports native 4K resolution at 4096 x 2160 pixels with both red and blue lasers. That means this animal produces double the output as the older model, the Panasonic PT-RQ32K.

Panasonic is just one of the many brands at CES this year, and it’s only the first day so we haven’t gotten to explore them all yet. We look forward to discovering more, so stay tuned to find out what great innovations are still to come.
